It should go without saying how essential the frame is to the item's longevity, but this is where many manufacturers cut corners the most. Mayo frames are made from furniture quality plywood and solid hardwood planks, resulting in one of the best frames in the business. Mayo creates its frames with trained specialists utilizing cutting-edge computer-aided design (CAD) software. The newest computer numerical controlled (CNC) routing technology used in the furniture sector is employed to cut the frames accurately.
Seat Spring System

For long-term comfort and support, a high-quality seat spring system is a necessity. For lateral support and stability, most Mayo products use 8-gauge sinuous wire seat springs linked from side to side by spring steel wire. This spring mechanism is comparable to those used in high-end vehicles. A drop-in coil spring seat mechanism is available on some models.

High-quality seat cushion foam is essential for attractive aesthetics and long-term comfort. Mayo seat cushion foam is a high-density polyurethane foam weighing 2.0 pounds. Mayo offers a complete polyurethane foam manufacturing process directly within the plant, allowing us to maintain quality assurance requirements in all polyurethane parts used in Mayo products.

Pillow Back Cushions

Mayo designs its backs with comfort in mind. To ensure longevity and comfort, semi-attached and loose backs contain an inner bag within the cover. The inner bag has two chambers, one upper and one lower. This inner flange regulates the thickness of the bag to keep it in form. The presence of two separate compartments maintains the fiber in place and minimizes the settling effect that happens naturally over time.
