The Dovetail Bedroom Collection is proudly Made in the USA by over 500 craftsmen and craftswomen in our factories in the Virginia mountains.
The collection features Solid White American Oak solids and white oak veneers. By using ATAP™ (Accelerate The Aging Process) technology, Vaughan Bassett has kept the splits, cracks, knots and the bold grain pattern found in oak lumber to create a reclaimed wood look in this beautiful and unique bedroom collection. This collection is made exclusively for consumers who understand and value a reclaimed wood look.
American White Oak has the great variation in grain pattern that gives the Dovetail Collection the richness of a varied grain pattern that is lacking in other wood species.
Beyond the wood itself, the most significant design elements are the dovetail joints featured in every piece of the collection. Dovetail joinery is a technique which pre-dates written history found on furniture in the tombs of Egyptian Pharaoh’s dating back 4,000 years. Vaughan Bassett offers a new patent-pending interpretation of this ageless technique.
Until now, only Mother Nature could make wood look this good.
Vaughan Bassett replaces every tree used to produce its furniture. Over the last 10 or so years; 1.5 million trees have been planted.
